2018 Achievement Week High School Essay Contest


RULES

Change 1: 13 October 2018

1. Eligibility: The Contest is open to all college-bound, high school SENIORS who submit an essay application through the Upsilon Lambda Lambda (ULL) Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. ULL will award three scholarships for this contest. The winner will be awarded a $500 scholarship and the two runner-ups will be awarded a $250 scholarship each. The winner will be entered into the International High School Essay Contest to compete for additional scholarships. The ULL scholarships will be awarded during the Chapter's Achievement Week Founder's Day Banquet on 17 November 2018 at Yokosuka Enlisted Club.


2. The contest closes: Midnight, October 19, 2018. Essays submitted after this time will be discarded. Essays must be emailed to the ULL official mailbox at ULL.OPPF@samuraiques.com .


3. The essay must be entitled "How has social media impacted today's youth, and what influence does it have on their future?" The essay must be type-written in Microsoft Word and double-spaced. The essay must be original and neither previously published nor secured by copyright. The essay must be between 700 and 750 words in length.


4. Contestants must follow the directions on the international essay contest brochure below.
